This week the New York Yankees play in the two most expensive games of the week, but they are the away team in both games. Two other AL East teams make up the third spot on the list, then San Francisco and St. Louis are the home teams for the final two games. Prices for the games have seen a larger drop than increase this week, with only two games having any price increase, and the largest increase topping out at just four percent.

Below are the five most expensive games of the week, by secondary market average price, according to TiqIQ.

8/31 – New York Yankees vs. Toronto Blue Jays | Avg. Price: $123.40 | Get-in Price: $24

Both the Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays have winning records season, but the series might not mean too much for playoff positioning. The teams are way behind in the AL East, with the Baltimore Orioles seemingly running away with things. The Yankees are even 2.5 games out of the final wild card spot. The game has seen the largest price increase of any game this week at four percent, and that’s enough for the game to lead the week with a $123.40 average price. The get-in price for Blue Jays vs Yankees tickets is $24, which is surprisingly the second lowest on the list.

8/28 – New York Yankees vs. Detroit Tigers | Avg. Price: $114.02 | Get-in Price: $37

The next Yankees game featured on the list holds more meaning. The Detroit Tigers are the team the Yankees currently trail in the wild card standings, and with just 2.5 games between them, the Yankees could make up the difference in the series. Last time the two teams played the Yankees took two of three despite the Tigers just completing a blockbuster trade for pitcher David Price. Surprisingly Tigers tickets are down for this game, with an average price of $114.02 after a seven percent price drop. The get-in price is the highest of the week, though, at $37.

8/30 – Boston Red Sox vs. Tampa Bay Rays | Avg. Price: $97.91 | Get-in Price: $21

This series would have been huge a season ago, but this year the two teams are at the bottom of the AL East, double-digit games back of first. Neither team has a winning record, and both shipped away major pieces at the trade deadline. But even with ticket prices down 18 percent, easily the largest drop of the week, the game is the third most expensive at $97.91 with a get-in price of $21 for Rays vs Red Sox tickets.

8/31 – Milwaukee Brewers vs. San Francisco Giants | Avg. Price: $85.94 | Get-in Price: $30

The San Francisco Giants are back in the lead for the wild card, but just barely. They get the unenviable task of facing the first-place Milwaukee Brewers for a three-game set. San Francisco Giants tickets have been among the most expensive all season, and with the season coming to a close, the last several series will surely make this list. It helps that the opponent is a contender as well. The average price of the game is $85.94, and the get-in price is $30.

8/30 – Chicago Cubs vs. St. Louis Cardinals | Avg. Price: $83.47 | Get-in Price: $30

The rivalry between the Cardinals and Chicago Cubs is one of the biggest in the sport, but the games haven’t meant much in the standings over the last several seasons. The Cubs have been rebuilding, and are just starting to see some of their young guys impact the big league roster. Meanwhile the Cardinals have been the model of consistency over the last decade. This season the Cardinals hold the top wild card spot, while the Cubs are once again near the bottom of the league. But the rivalry and market size of the Cubs helps propel this series to one of the most expensive of the week. St. Louis Cardinals tickets are averaging $83.47 with a $30 get-in price.
