Exercise is hard for many of us to do on a regular basis. Yet, it is something that is essential for overall health. I always urge my patients to find a form they enjoy doing. Then, it really doesn’t feel like exercise. About a year ago I decided that it was time for me to learn hip-hop. It is fun and burns 388 calories per hour or 6 calories a minute. It is fun, creative and my 61-year-old joints have remained unscathed, as my muscles are getting stronger.

Dance is great exercise whether you take up ballroom or ballet. It improves mood, balance, strength, and just feels good. I posted our video for all to enjoy and hopefully become inspired. If I can do it, you can do it! Find a great teacher like mine and get moving!
