The summer concert season is officially in full bloom, and for remaining summer months, the festival craze will momentarily take a back seat to some of the biggest names in pop music as they sweep through stadiums around the country. Throughout all of winter and spring, these artists dominated the radio airwaves and award shows, and this summer, their ticket sales will display the same level of popularity. Below are the three most expensive pop tours on the secondary market this summer, according to data from TiqIQ.
Taylor Swift | Avg. Price: $342.70
Taylor Swift’s “1989 World Tour” will return from Europe to the U.S. in July, where she will be bringing Haim and Vance Joy as her warm-ups on stage. Swift’s tour is set to make multiple notable stops, including back-to-back nights at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. Taylor Swift tickets on TiqIQ are in high demand across her remaining summer dates. However, her priciest show is actually set to be her October date in Miami at the American Airlines Arena, where the average ticket price is $909.44, with a get-in price at $286.
Ed Sheeran | Avg. Price: $166.31
Nine more U.S. dates remain on the summer portion of Ed Sheeran’s “X Tour,” where he will be bringing along Rixton as the opening act. The tour will head off to Europe in July, and then will loop back to the states in September. The last official date on the tour is set for December 12 in New Zealand. Currently, the 23-year-old musician’s most expensive date is his September show at the Philips Arena in Atlanta, where the average ticket price for secondary market Ed Sheeran tickets is $497.75, with a get-in price at $106.
Ariana Grande | Avg. Price: $136.53
15 dates remain on the North American summer dates for Ariana Grande’s “The Honeymoon Tour.” It is her second concert tour and first international tour, and is in support of her second studio album, My Everything, which she released in 2014. The tour will head overseas for four dates, and then will swing back into America at the end of August. Tickets remain competitive, and her most expensive show is currently set for her October 15 date at the El Paso County Coliseum, where the average price for Ariana Grande tickets is set at $267.87, with a get-in price of $96. She will be joined by Prince Royce as he is set to be her tour opener.
