Have you noticed how relatively expensive salt water is in your local drugstore?  Maybe you should just enjoy a day at the beach instead.

The next time you are in your local drug store take a look at all the products that are basically salt, or salt water. Did you know about the curative properties of salt in water?  There are many uses for salt beyond the kitchen or dining table.

Ayre Nasal Mist,Tears Naturale, and Neti Pot Salt are all products recommended by doctors for a variety of routines and conditions.  Salt in water, as it turns out, can be very good for you.

The truth is that most of us can benefit from ritual of cleaning our eyes, sinuses, and throat with salt water.  It was certainly recommended to me that simple saline solutions should be part of my daily routine – particularly during allergy and flu seasons.


The Beach

If you want to spend a bit more for your salt, there are also spas that have and tout salt water or sea-water pools describing their healing or restorative properties. But don’t worry if you can’t get to a spa – turns out that Epsom Salts can have the same effect in your bathtub at home.

While adding salt to your food may not be good for you, seems it is GREAT for your eyes, sinuses, and body. So you can skip the drugstore and just spend a day at the beach, but don’t forget the sun-block…
