Valentine’s Day is the day of love, fun, and all things cheesy — but what do you do when you have to work out of town for that day?
Husbands, wives, fiances, girlfriends, boyfriends, best friends, and whoever else, take note: if you are not going to see your significant other today, you still have a few more hours to step up your game like this husband did. So, what did he do? He used kid’s valentine’s day cards with holographic animals on them to lead his wife on a scavenger hunt throughout their home.
Okay, I can’t lie. It was my husband. He had to head to NYC for work, only about 1000 miles away, but he wouldn’t let this Valentine’s Day go down without a fight — er, hunt. That means that mom, dad, grandma, and anyone else, I apologize for the content on some of the cards. You’ve been warned.
Check out this adorableness, and may the cards — the elementary school Valentine’s cards — be ever in your favor:
Ah, what a beautiful set up! I wonder what could be inside:
WHAT’S THIS I SEE?
And so, the scavenger hunt begins. (We might be hipsters, I apologize.)
At first glance, it’s hard to find:
Look closer. Little sneaker.
Empty?! You trickster.
Wait, wait. He said something about underneath! Got it!
Now that the song is stuck in everyone’s head…
How did I not see all of this stuff before?
Parental units, do not read this one:
This probably makes it look worse than it is, but I mean, it’s not for your eyes.
Back to the flowers? Am I blind?!
There she is. In one of my favorites:
I win, I win!
