Maybe you’ve been feeling “stuck” lately. You can’t quite pin it down, but you just don’t feel like you’re going anywhere. You’re just going through the motions and you haven’t felt excited in a long time.

It’s time to make 2015 the year you get unstuck. Who cares what happened last year.  This year you’re going to get up and get going. Here’s how:

  1. Exercise 15 minutes each day

Taking the time to focus on your body can make a huge difference in the long run. Consider beginning yoga or jogging to start.

  1. Read an unusual book

Reading can open your eyes to the unknown, and reaching for a book you wouldn’t normally grab will only help with this. Check out your local library or reach out to a friend for a suggestion.

  1. Eat healthier

It’s important to take care of your body and give it natural, healthy options instead of preservative-filled junk. Replace some snack with fruits or veggies and drink more water.

  1. Try something new

If you go through life doing the same things over and over again, you’re not going to really enjoy all the possibilities in the world. Take a leap of faith and try something you’ve never done before.

  1. Stay positive

It’s easy to dwell on the negative, but you’ll feel a lot better if you keep your focus on the positive things that are happening.

  1. Get your hands dirty

Working out issues on your own and fixing them yourself will have much more of an impact than asking someone else to do it for you. Reach for the instruction manual or try to figure out the problem on your own — you’ll feel much better when you solve the problem yourself.

  1. Travel

Travel anywhere. Whether it’s to a nearby town or a different country, get out there. Even a day trips can do wonders for breaking out of your routine. Or, if you’re feeling adventurous, consider an extended vacation or even working abroad.

  1. Learn a new skill

Learning new skills can be extremely fulfilling, and you can even discover talent you’d never imagine you’d have.

  1. Stay away from gossip

Surrounding yourself with people who talk about others behind their backs never bodes well for anyone. Get rid of that stress from your life and surround yourself by people who won’t resort to such pettiness.

  1. Accept that things won’t always work out

One of the big things we need to realize is things won’t always work the way you want or expect them to go. Instead of stressing about that, simply accept it and move on with life.

  1. Take on a challenge

You should be constantly trying to challenge yourself. Try something you know will push you so you can reach your full potential.

  1. Reach out to a friend

You have absolutely nothing to lose by reaching out to an old friend of yours. Write a letter or send a Facebook message to refresh those bonds you once had.

  1. Create achievable goals

You should strive to achieve specific goals each day. Whether they are intense goals or simple goals, you should try to accomplish something by the end of each day.

  1. Meditate each day

Mediation is a great way to lower your stress and channel your inner spirituality. Setting aside a few minutes each day to start meditating can make you feel much better in the long run.

  1. Volunteer for your community

Giving back to your community can benefit dozens of people, if not more. Even a few hours each week can make a huge difference.

  1. Spend time doing, not planning

If all you do is worry about the future, you’re not going to change anything. Spend that time working toward something instead of trying to plan everything to work perfectly.

  1. Put faith in yourself

Having confidence in yourself is the surest way to be the best you can be.

  1. Improve your posture

You’ll save yourself back pain and stress by sitting up straight and slouching less. Not only that, but research has shown that your body language shapes you who are.

  1. Step away from the electronics

Sitting in front of the television and computer all day is ruining you eyesight and attention span. Step away from those electronics and spend some time at your local park or walking around your neighborhood.

  1. Smile more

Smiles are powerful and they can impact your mood instantly.
