Breaking News: AirAsia Flight 8501 Which Was in Route From the Indonesian City of Surabaya to Singapore Has Officially Been Reported Missing.
“At the present time we unfortunately have no further information regarding the status of the passengers and crew members on board, but we will keep all parties informed as more information becomes available,” a company spokesman said just moments ago.
Reports say that Flight QZ 8501 lost contact with air traffic control at 7:24 a.m. Sunday (6:24 p.m. Saturday ET).

UPDATE: Local media has reported that the flight had 155 people onboard, including 149 Indonesians, 3 Koreans, and one each from Briatain, Singapore and Malaysia.
