Do you have a long-term vision for the future?

Do you want to succeed where countless others have failed?

I’ve quit and failed more times than I can count.

I’ve struggled for years trying to reach just one goal before I was able to piece it all together.

It took me over two years to make my first dollar online. I don’t know how many people would work on building a business for two years without making any money and stick with it. But if at first you don’t succeed, try, try, again.

Or, as the majority would say, “if at first you don’t succeed, quit.

I can’t blame them. It’s easier to be lazy and get distracted by games, television, social media, texting, movies, on, and on, right?

Why is that?

People are far too eager to throw in the towel. It’s easier to think short-term and after a brief period of determination and hustle on a particular goal that doesn’t pan out you quit.

That’s why 80% of people (U.S.) make less than $100,000 a year. 50% make less than $50,000. For an average family of four, that’s not going to go very far.

I’m not saying your income in the true measure of success, because I don’t believe that to be the case at all. Not be a long shot. I’m just giving you an example of a form of success and it’s elusiveness.

So How Can You Keep Going When Others Turn Around?

There are many ways to get to the mountain top. Not all paths are going to get you there. Some will be impassable, some will take you off route, some will bring the biggest of obstacles, some will get you there in one piece, and some will not.

Those who have gone before you and made it will at least be able to show you how to get there. Or at least, how they got there. More experienced climbers will know the tips, tricks, and best methods of reaching the peak. They’re worth listening to.

A Mentor / Teacher / Coach

That brings me to the first key to success…a mentor.

Whether you’re preparing for a climb to the summit or you have your sights set on something more compelling, having someone who is experienced and better yet, has a passion for the journey you’re about to take, who will show you the way and share their journey with you, will put you on the road to a successful trip.

A Group / Environment

The second key to success, especially when it comes to a greater goal or vision for the future, is having a strong support system and surrounding environment.

This one is crucial. You can’t very well go climbing to the top of a mountain by yourself can you? Some can, but you’re not necessarily a master yet so it’s best you prepare a group to assist you on your quest.

Having the right environment and supporting cast is a must-have and without one can mean the difference between success and failure. It’s important you choose the right environment as well.

Jim Rohn was quoted, “You are the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.” The people in your corner will make or break you. It your group isn’t inspiring and empowering you on your journey, it will be extremely difficult to achieve any success.

Your environment will keep you strong when you are weak. Lift you up when you are down. And keep you moving forward when you don’t want to move on. The group brings accountability when your demons are calling you to throw in the towel.

Setting up a mastermind is one of the best ways to start forming your group, your environment.

Books / Method / Resources

Finally, we have the books. The method you are using to achieve your goal.

That could mean a course you may be enrolled in that teaches you step-by-step on how to get from point a to point b. It could be the materials and content you have collected on the subject and that includes books from proven experts who have already reached the destination you are aiming for, right?

With these three keys to long-term success in your corner being used consistently and continuously, there is almost nothing you can’t accomplish. Well, not nothing, but you know what I mean.

These three keys to long-term success can be used for virtually any type/form of goal. They will give you the knowledge, the aim, and lay the ground work for your path to success.
