An eclectic crowd attended the grand opening of West Hollywood gallery–Galerie Montaigne–which opened its doors Friday night in style and with the Parisian flair expected of une galerie française.
Classic cars, massive sculptures (including an epic golden skull with a butterfly accoutrement), and a $1.5 million dollar Faberge egg inspired chair, decorated the red carpet that wrapped around the entire gallery and surrounding area.
Inside, guests clinked glasses filled with Crystal Champagne, Purple Haze Liquor or one of the medley of available French wines, engaged in cultural banter, and savored the gallery’s unique display of sculptures and paintings. The gallery presently features works by prestigious European artists, including Georges Monfils, Laurent Proneur, Fano and Jonathan Loubens.
As an extension to the indoor gallery, Galerie Montaigne transformed their outdoor patio into a magical wonderland, replete with paintings and white lights, effecting an ambiance almost as magical as the art and energy that permeated the night.
Attendees included stars Annalynne Mccord, Tara Reid, Tyrant’s Melia Kreiling and Pitch Perfect’s Alexis Knapp. Comedian Andy Dick, Jimmy-Jean Louis from the Academy Award Nominated film JOY, singer Rochelle Vincent Von K and reality star Mike Shouhed from Shahs of Sunset also ventured out to enjoy the gallery’s artistic offerings.
In addition to the art opening, the evening saw a reuniting of several British Ex-Pat stars, including Dani Behr, Chesney Hawkes, Samantha Mumba and two of the Eastenders cast Deepak Verma and Patsy Palmer.
